Phuket's night-time carnival park in Kamala, next to FantaSea: which three evenings it opens, what the parade and the lights are, and what a ticket really costs when the park runs a one-price policy and the listings do not.

Carnival Magic is a night-time park in Kamala, on Phuket’s west coast, next door to Phuket FantaSea: a fun fair, a buffet, a 45-minute parade in a purpose-built stadium and, after it, the Kingdom of Lights. The park describes itself as Thailand’s first cultural carnival park and puts the lights at 40 million.
Two things decide a visit, and neither is on most ticket listings. It opens only three evenings a week. And it runs a one-price policy, so a ticket cheaper than the park’s own price is not a bargain but a risk.

An evening runs in a fixed order. The park opens at 5.30pm with the Carnival Fun Fair: street performers, a parade through the grounds, game booths, shops and the eateries, with the Bird of Paradise buffet serving from 5.30pm to 8.30pm. At 8pm the gates open to the River Palace parade stadium for the River Carnival parade at 8.30pm, which uses no spoken language, so it works for any audience; the park warns it includes pyrotechnics. After it, the Kingdom of Lights illumination park opens.
The buffet has a vegetarian line every day and a halal zone. Rides, the children’s playground and souvenir photographs are charged on top of the ticket.
The ticket, and the one-price rule
Every ticket includes the park, the parade and the Kingdom of Lights; what changes is dinner, the seat and the ride there. The park sells each at one price to everyone, and binds its official sellers to the same prices. So the useful comparison is not between listings, it is each listing’s option against the park’s price for the same package.

29 of 47
options cost more than the park's price for the same package, by up to ฿1,000. Four match it; fourteen, across four listings, are below it.
Below the park's price is not a bargain here. Carnival Magic runs a one-price policy: its official agents are contractually bound to its prices, and it says vouchers bought at an unauthorised discount "may be deemed invalid", refused at the gate without refund
(the park's ticket page). We cannot tell which sellers are authorised; the park can.
Where the Royal Seat is. The parade stadium's seating plan, from a listing: the Royal zones are the central blocks, which the park calls the best view of the parade. The upgrade is ฿350 a person at the park's price, for a show of 45 minutes.
Park prices from carnivalmagic.fun, checked 14 October 2026. Viator prices are each option's adult price, read from Viator on 14 October 2026; dollar listings converted at the ECB rate of 2026-10-13 (US$1 = ฿33.59), and differences within ฿40 are treated as the park's price. "Not compared": the listing does not say whether that option includes the buffet or a transfer, or it bundles extras the park does not sell. We earn a commission on Viator bookings, at no cost to you.
What an evening costs
Two adults and a child between 101 and 140 cm pay ฿7,400 for the park with the buffet at the park’s prices. A return hotel transfer for all three adds ฿1,350, and Royal Seats for all three another ฿1,050. A child of 100 cm or under goes free but has no seat of their own in the parade stadium.
Tickets cannot be refunded or changed once issued, and the park asks for reservations because the good seats go first. If you book through a seller, book an option that matches one of the park’s packages and costs what the park charges, and keep the voucher: the park’s policy is written about exactly the vouchers that do not.
Getting there
Carnival Magic is in Kamala, so it is close to the west-coast beaches and far from the south and the airport: 1 minutes from Kamala, 12 from Patong, 24 from Kata, without traffic. The park runs its own shared vans from any hotel on the island for ฿450 a person, return, leaving after the parade every ten minutes or so until midnight, and its car park is free.
OSRM over OpenStreetMap roads, from each beach's own point to the place, with no traffic: a floor, not a forecast.
For the island’s other evenings, Phuket nightlife covers the rest, and Andamanda is the daytime equivalent for families, a water park in Kathu.
Carnival Magic FAQs
What days is Carnival Magic open?+
Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, from 5.30pm to 11.30pm, according to the park. Phuket FantaSea next door opens on the other evenings, so the two cannot be done on the same night.
What time is the Carnival Magic parade?+
8.30pm, in the River Palace parade stadium, with the gates opening at 8pm. It lasts 45 minutes. On some pre-announced dates there is also a 6.30pm parade. The Kingdom of Lights opens after the parade.
How much are Carnival Magic tickets?+
At the park's own prices: 2,100 baht for admission, 2,500 baht with the buffet dinner (2,400 for a child), plus 350 for a Royal Seat and 450 a person for a return hotel transfer. Children are 101 to 140 cm; 100 cm and under is free, without a seat in the parade stadium.
Is it cheaper to buy Carnival Magic tickets online?+
It should not be. The park runs a one-price policy: its official agents must sell at its prices, and it says vouchers bought at an unauthorised discount may be refused. Most Viator options cost more than the park's price for the same package; a few cost less, which is the case the park warns about.
Can you take photos at Carnival Magic?+
Not in the parade stadium: photography and recording are prohibited there, and phones and cameras go into self-service lockers at its entrance.
What is the difference between Carnival Magic and Phuket FantaSea?+
They are sister parks side by side in Kamala, managed by two different companies and open on alternating evenings. A ticket for one is not accepted at the other. The park sells a two-park combo with buffets at both for 3,700 baht, used over two evenings.
