Krabi to Koh Lanta

The ferry in high season, the minivan the rest of the year. The road works all year and involves a short car-ferry crossing that queues badly in the busy months.

Door to door, and the only option outside the ferry season. The crossing itself is ten to fifteen minutes but loading and queuing can add half an hour in high season.

The season changes this. The morning ferry runs year round, weather permitting; the afternoon sailings are November to April only. Outside those months, plan on the road.
