Thailand Frontier is free to read, and it stays that way through affiliate partnerships. This page explains, plainly, what that means for you.
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you book a tour or a hotel through one of them, we may earn a commission. It costs you nothing extra, and you pay exactly the same price you would have paid otherwise.
Who we partner with
Our two main partners are the ones most useful for a Thailand trip:
- Viator for tours, tickets, day trips and activities. The “See live prices” and tour links on our pages go to Viator.
- Booking.com for hotels and other accommodation. The hotel and “where to stay” links go to Booking.com.
When you follow one of these links and complete a booking, the partner pays us a small share of their own margin. Your price is unaffected.
How it affects what we write
It does not. We choose which tours and stays to point you towards because they fit the page, not because of what they pay. A commission never buys a recommendation, softens a criticism, or decides what we cover. If a place is not worth your time, we say so, affiliate link or not. This is set out in full in our editorial guidelines.
Why we do it this way
Affiliate commission lets us keep the whole guide free and free of intrusive advertising. It is the most honest funding model we know of for a travel site: we only earn if you find something worth booking, which keeps our interests and yours pointing the same way.
Your choice
You are never obliged to use our links. You can always search for a tour or a hotel directly. If you do choose to book through us, thank you: it is what keeps Thailand Frontier running.
Questions about any of this are welcome through our contact page. You can also read more about who we are on our about page.
